1) Purpose & Scope
Coastal Timepieces LLC (“Coastal Timepieces,” “we,” “our,” “us”) publishes content solely related to:
Luxury watches we currently offer for sale.
Educational information about the care, maintenance, quality, and ownership of luxury timepieces.
We do not publish general watch news, rumors, or unrelated lifestyle content.
2) Editorial Principles
Accuracy & Verification: We strive for factual accuracy in all listings and guides. Specifications are verified against manufacturer documentation or service records when available.
Expertise & Review: All content is written and/or reviewed by our in-house specialists with hands-on experience evaluating, servicing, and selling luxury watches.
Clarity & Completeness: Listings clearly describe model references, materials, movement type, key features, included accessories, and known condition notes.
Timeliness: Product availability can change quickly. We update or remove listings as inventory changes and timestamp material updates to guides.
Corrections: If an error is identified, we correct it promptly and note significant corrections in the “Updates & Corrections” section at the end of the page or listing.
3) What We Publish (and What We Don’t)
We Publish:
Product listings for watches we sell.
Educational guides on care, maintenance, storage, water resistance, servicing intervals, and preserving value.
Company policy pages (e.g., this page) and operational announcements that affect customers.
We Do Not Publish:
Paid editorials disguised as independent reviews.
Sponsored opinions, advertorials, or third-party submissions presented as our own without clear labeling.
General watch industry news not directly relevant to items we sell or to ownership/care topics.
4) Independence, Conflicts & Monetization
Conflict Transparency: We primarily write about watches we sell. Readers should assume we have a commercial interest in items featured. We avoid exaggerated claims and present condition and specifications as accurately as possible.
Advertising: We do not currently run third-party display ads. If this changes, ads will be clearly distinguished from editorial content.
Affiliate Links: If we ever use affiliate links (e.g., to care products), we will label them and comply with the U.S. FTC Endorsement Guides.
Sponsored Content: We do not accept sponsored content at this time. If we do in the future, it will be labeled “Sponsored” with the sponsor’s name and scope of involvement.
5) Authenticity, Condition & Service Information
Authenticity: Items are represented to the best of our knowledge as authentic based on our evaluations, provenance (if provided), and/or third-party verification when applicable. Any known aftermarket parts or modifications will be disclosed.
Condition Grades: When used, condition descriptors (e.g., “Unworn,” “Excellent,” “Very Good”) are explained within our grading rubric. Cosmetic wear is described and/or photographed.
Service & Warranty Notes: We disclose known service history when provided, and whether a manufacturer warranty or our store warranty applies. Unless stated, water resistance is not guaranteed for vintage or pre-owned pieces without recent pressure testing.
6) Sources, Images & Media
Sources: Manufacturer documentation, in-house inspections, service invoices, and trusted databases are primary sources. We cite sources in listings or guides when helpful to buyers.
Photography: Product photos are of the actual item unless expressly labeled “stock image.” We avoid excessive retouching that could misrepresent condition.
Image Rights: All photography, graphics, and written content are the property of Coastal Timepieces unless otherwise indicated. Please request permission before reuse.
7) Care & Maintenance Content
Educational, Not Advisory: Care guides are for general information. Always follow manufacturer instructions and consult certified watchmakers for service decisions, pressure testing, or repairs.
Risk & Liability: Improper handling can damage a timepiece. Use guides at your own discretion; we are not liable for misuse of maintenance information.
8) Fact-Checking, Updates & Corrections
Review Cycle: We periodically review and update listings and guides to reflect new information, changes in inventory, and improved best practices.
Corrections: Material corrections are dated and summarized at the bottom of the relevant page. Minor copy edits may be made without a formal note.

9) Community & User Contributions
Comments/Reviews (if enabled): We welcome constructive, on-topic discussion. We remove spam, harassment, hate speech, and misleading claims. We may moderate or disable comments at our discretion.
User Photos/Content: If you submit content, you represent you have the rights to do so and grant us permission to display it on our site and channels.
